Reaching out for therapy is often the hardest step, especially for people used to handling things on their own. A free 15-minute consultation exists to lower that barrier, not to be a mini-therapy session.
What the Call Covers
You'll briefly describe what's bringing you to therapy, and get a chance to ask about approach, experience with your specific concern, session logistics, fees, and insurance or direct billing options. It's a two-way conversation to check fit before committing.
What It Isn't
It's not an assessment, and you won't be asked to go into detail about difficult experiences. That deeper work happens once you've decided to move forward, in a setting built for it.
How to Prepare
Come with whatever questions matter to you, whether that's about a specific therapeutic approach, experience with trauma or addiction, or practical details like scheduling around shift work. There's no wrong question to ask before starting.
Consultations are offered virtually across Ontario, with no obligation to continue afterward.
